- Cool little flashlight – Review by Timothy, posted on 11/10/11
Quality Value PriceIt seems like I can never have too many flashlights, so I thought I would give this one a try. First thing is that it was a lot smaller than I had perceived when ordering. It's about the size of a bic lighter. Now this isn't a bad thing, it's just I didn't read the description that close!
the head that flips 180 degrees is a bit hard to open. At first, I couldn't open it with one hand which was a hassle, but over time, it started opening easier. Ideally you flip the tabs on the side with your thumb and it flips to where you want it. When opened, it sort of looks like a hot wheel car with bright headlights, either that or some kind of bug.
There is a clip on the back that they showed clipped to a hat which is a good idea because it is very bright and perfect for dark alarm panels, fuse boxes, etc. I had mine clipped to my belt until it disappeared on a recent trench rescue. I was bummed to say the least that I couldn't find it afterwards! There is a lanyard hole at the top that you can't see. So when I order another one I will be sure to use that either on a lanyard or possibly a keychain or carabiner.
Overall it's a "cool little flashlight" that is very bright and seems to be very rugged and also comes with a lifetime warranty (unless its lost in a trench I assume.) It looks like it uses two watch type batteries that you need a small screwdriver to remove the battery plate, but I didn't own it long enough to change the batteries.
I would highly recommend this little flashlight for day to day use. You will find that you use it more than you may think you would.
