Over 30 Years of Innovation

Over 30 years ago, a small company named Sound Off, Inc. created a device that added sound to the turn signal of a motorcycle. Eventually changing their name to SoundOff Signal, from that small beginning came one of the public safety industry's most innovative manufacturers of vehicle equipment and warning lights.

SoundOff's history doubles as a timeline of innovation in public safety vehicle warning equipment. After introducing the device mentioned above, SoundOff then invented the first professional heavy-duty headlight flasher, now known across the industry as the "wig wag." Police vehicle headlights have been flashing ever since.

In 2002, SoundOff introduced the first LED warning lights for American school buses. This innovation has since found its way into every aspect of public safety vehicle lighting, such as SoundOff's Predator and Predator 2 Dash/Deck/Grille, Surface Mount & Windshield Lights; the unique GHOST Mini Lights; plus the ETL 5000 and Pinnacle LED Lightbars for public safety vehicles. These LED vehicle lights lead the way in brightness, low power draw and a slim vehicle profile.

Employee-Owned Since 2006

In 2005, SoundOff moved into a new 50,000 square-foot facility in Hudsonville, Michigan. In 2006, the dedication of SoundOff employees led the company to reorganize itself as an employee-owned company.
