FDP Fire Gloves: The Performance is in the Details

With the introduction of Shelby’s FDP fire gloves, Shelby brought protective gloves to a new level. By focusing on Fit, Durability and Performance, or FDP, Shelby constructed a hard-wear glove that gives firefighters a better balance of protection and fit.

Constructed with a proprietary sealed-seam system, Shelby FDP fire gloves utilize waterproof, breathable Gore™ RT7100 Glove Barrier Fabric, a thermally stable PTFE barrier. This lining system material is cut, sewn, seam sealed and 100% dunk tested, and fitted with an anatomically correct glove outer shell. The unique Shelby FDP system is available in at least 7 separate and distinct sizes, all proportional to human hands. Shelby also sizes their gloves for female firefighters, improving glove fit and performance by using liners that match the contours and sizing of XXS and XS glove outer shells.

Shelby innovation doesn’t stop at FDP fire gloves. Shelby continues to innovate in the firefighter hand protection industry, and is working on new products that will cumulatively offer superior fit, comfort, durability and protection.
