At CHIEF, we take pride not only in the products and services we offer, but also in the vendors with whom we do business. CHIEF offers selections from only the best and most trusted manufacturers whose standards of quality are as high as our own. We enjoy introducing them to you and telling the story behind the product line in each month's Vendor Spotlight.

The company we've chosen to tell you about this month is Stoffel Seals®. CHIEF carries a colorful selection of their "Junior" line of badges for Law Enforcement Explorer Programs, Fire Marshall Cubs, Junior Park Ranger and Safety Recruitment Clubs – all of which are designed to reinforce crime prevention, fire safety or drug and alcohol awareness programs in your communities.

Security Seals & Brand I.D. Since 1941

Stoffel Seals® Corporation has been a leading manufacturer of security seals and brand identification since 1941, when Hans Stoffel started a plastic injection molding company in Tuckahoe, New York. In 1963, Mr. Stoffel began work on a replica of a Fire Marshall's badge for the Hartford Insurance Company. This badge would be included in a National Fire Prevention Week package for elementary schools. Millions of these badges were produced until Hartford discontinued the program in 1975. But in 1979, Stoffel reintroduced the Jr. Fire Marshall Badge as well as a Jr. Police Badge, and as they say, the rest is history.

Today, Stoffel's main focus is on Product and Shipment Security, Brand Identification and its Protection and Promotion, through six key product groups: Security Seals, Track and Trace, Napkin Bands, Name and Public Safety Awareness Badges and Promotables™.

Helping Public Safety Build Community Relations

Stoffel's line of Promotion seals, key chains and lapel pins make a great impact with youth groups, Explorer clubs, Junior Deputies, Fire Cubs and students when handed out during station tours, community safety programs and school visits. Many of Stoffel's junior badges and key tags can be customized and feature well-recognized licensed characters of safety promotion like McGruff and his young counterpart, Scruff; Smokey the Bear and Sparky the Dalmatian Firehouse dog. Key chains reminding young drivers to not mix alcohol and driving are popular handouts for driver's education classes in high schools and in drug and alcohol safety awareness programs.

CHIEF is proud to offer virtually everything today's service and emergency personnel need to effectively perform their tasks. We also find great satisfaction in the opportunity to influence tomorrow's Safety and Protection personnel with items such as those manufactured by Stoffel. When young people proudly wear badges and pins proclaiming their participation and interest in programs offered by law enforcement, fire and safety and park ranger organizations, we can all feel confident the future of our nation's welfare is in good hands – thanks in part to Stoffel Seals and you.
