For the Fire Service, March means that we're almost at the kick-off date for applications to the 2009 Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program (AFGP). The exact opening date is yet to be announced, but the more time you spend preparing now, the more you can hit the ground running when AFGP opens for applications. Visit our AFGP section for an overview of last year's program (but remember that guidelines change year to year), and also turn to our AFGP Resources area for tips and guidelines for the Fire Service's most popular grant program. We'll be updating this information as we receive details on the 2009 AFG Program.
