January Recap - Public Safety Grants
January saw the opening of 6 new grants, outlined below (2 for the Fire Service, and 4 for Law Enforcement). The economy continues to be precarious, but these programs show that grants are still out there, and funding is still available to agencies and departments looking to improve their programs and procure or upgrade equipment.
For the Fire Service, February 2 is the kick-off date for applications to the Fire Prevention and Safety Grant Program (FP&S). If your department is looking for funding for community fire education, this is the program to get in on. All applications must be submitted by March 6.
