November Recap - Public Safety Grants

Some of November's biggest news in grants comes from two of the most popular public safety grant programs. After a long hiatus, the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program (AFGP) resumed awards on Nov. 14, with a massive award round of 557 fire departments winning $48.5 million in grants.

Award lists for the Bulletproof Vest Partnership program are also available. BVP had a technical snafu at the end of October, however, resulting in thousands of departments receiving erroneous award notices. Be sure to download the official BVP awards list (in Adobe PDF format) to make sure your agency is listed.
