Brotherhood of the Badge Expands Mission to Afghanistan
Watch This News Story Online » In 2006, CHIEF was proud to help The Brotherhood of the Badge procure equipment and body armor for use in training Iraqi police officers. Now, The Brotherhood of the Badge has expanded their mission to Afghanistan. To-date, The Brotherhood of the Badge has donated $80,000 of body armor, two-way radios and flashlights to the Afghan national police. A recent ABC news article gives the full story...
The Brotherhood's missions in Iraq and Afghanistan share a common goal: By training locals to become police officers and firefighters, they will speed stability in each country, which will help U.S. troops come home sooner.

$50 Off New CHIEF Grants Seminars
$50 Early-Bird Discount CHIEF Grants Seminars are the only grant-writing training that focuses solely on the funding challenges facing public safety agencies. Since 2005, our students have achieved an 80% success rate in writing winning grants, including grant seminar graduates writing their first grant! Here's what one former student says:
"Here is a shout-out and a big thanks to Kurt for helping me out to get my department awarded again! I was not getting anywhere on these grants before I attended Kurt's seminar. I had the ability but not the skills to execute a winning grant. Now, I have been nailing most every grant written since. My regret is that I didn't take the class sooner. I spent several years spinning my wheels getting nowhere. For my volunteer department I have gotten more than a half-million dollars of equipment in the last two years." Chester Murphy, Farmington VFD, California

From CHIEF Grants - February 14, 2008

However, departments who received rejection notices may nonetheless be in a good position for future funding, said Kurt Bradley, Senior Grants Consultant. "The rejection letter should note if the department is eligible for FY2007 supplemental funds. Departments rejected at this stage are also highly likely to win awards for FY2008," said Kurt. "Most of their work is done. Update your application with current run call volumes, budget information and statistical data, send it to us for review, and then re-submit it for the upcoming FY2008 AFG program."
