What we've done
The response to hurricane-ravaged parts of the U.S. has been overwhelming, and we at CHIEF are grateful to see the generosity going to the Gulf Coast from around the country. We have also been contributing, both as employees and as a company, to help survivors and the responders working in the field. Some of the ways we are helping include:

  • Employee and company donations of $12,670 to the Red Cross.
  • $23,000 worth of products donated to Hearts With Hands, Inc., an Ocean Springs, MS non-profit organization that is helping churches, fire departments, and rescue squads.
  • Proceeds from the book American Heroes donated to the American Red Cross – $3,180 so far.
  • Donated inventory to Fire and Police Departments in the Gulf Coast's worst-affected areas.
  • Our grants consultant, Kurt Bradley, has also undertaken a fundraising campaign to purchase a new $250,000 tractor trailer rig to replace the 12-year-old rig being used by Christian Disaster Response, based in Florida. Their current rig is set up to serve up to 3,000 hot meals per hour. CDR also provides disaster supplies and hygiene kits to disaster areas from the Gulf Coast to post-tsunami Asia.
