A CHIEF Grants Agency-Hosted Seminar is your chance to offer professional grant-writing training to agencies in your local area, at a greatly reduced cost.
Save the Gas & Hotel Money
Instead of the travel and manpower costs of putting someone on the road for out-of-town or out-of-state training events, CHIEF Grants will come to your jurisdiction. No missed shifts. No expenses for hotels, gas, or plane tickets. Just in-town grant-writing training that can give your personnel the skills to write successful grant applications.
This is especially helpful for agencies with limited time, limited training funds and without incurring significant travel expenses. An agency-hosted seminar is easy to host and cheaper for everyone.
Two Days, Only $349 Per Student ($299 for Early Registration)
Your CHIEF Grants Agency-Hosted Seminar will last two days, with opportunities for one-on-one consultations following each day's classroom sessions.
Cost to attend is $349 per person ($299 "Early-Bird" Special, if you register more than 30 days in advance).
That is a $150 savings over attending one of our regional training seminars, not to mention the money and resources saved in personnel and agency expenses. And, payment is not due until the first day of the seminar.

How Can My Agency Host a Grant-Writing Seminar?
Our costs per student are greatly reduced, over that of a regional seminar ($499), because the agency who is hosting the seminar agrees to do some of the work involved in recruiting students, as well as provide the training facility for the seminar. Here is what your agency will agree to do:
Provide a Suitable Training Facility
- Provide a suitable training facility large enough to host a class of 15+ students
- Table and chair space for each student
- Restroom facilities
- A projection screen suitable for LCD projection (we can provide our own LCD projectors if needed)
- Coffee/juice/bottled water and an afternoon refreshment break are recommended and greatly appreciated by your students
- Facility should be conveniently located, such as your own agency, or a rented or donated hall (e.g.; Lion's Club, Bingo Hall, City Hall Auditorium, School Auditorium, School or College Classroom, Training Academy Classroom)
- Classroom needs to be equipped with power extension cords for projector and computer equipment, as well as "hard line" or "wireless" Internet access
- You will be responsible for copying and reproducing the provided handout materials. There are approx. 30-40 pages of handouts per student
- Optional: It is a nice touch to obtain 4-8 door prizes from local merchants to be given away throughout the seminar
Recruit the Students
- We require a minimum of 15 students to bring this training to your area
- 21 days prior to your seminar date you will have the opportunity to cancel or reschedule your seminar if you have not recruited the minimum number of students
- Due to the nature of non-refundable airline tickets, hotel reservations etc., after that date you will have a financial responsibility for the tuition fee of any students, less than 15, once we appear. (Example: if we arrive and only 14 students are present, your agency would be responsible for one student tuition fee of $299. This rarely happens, but since the price of attending these seminars is greatly reduced over our regional seminar fees, we must guarantee a minimum number of paying students to ensure that we cover our expenses)
- For every 15 students that are recruited and appear for the seminar, you will earn 1 free seat in the seminar which you are free to use or give away as you desire
- You will be provided with proper advertising and marketing materials suitable for faxing or email/web posting use. This information should be distributed to potential students through local websites, bulletin flyers, postings on bulletin boards, fax, email list servers, Statewide Professional Associations and memberships, etc.
- You will need to maintain a current registration/contact list sheet (provided) that is emailed to us weekly until your seminar date
- You will be provided with an online registration site for students to register at, specific to your agency's event, and you should be able to receive faxed registration forms from students and forward them to us weekly
- Your event will be posted on our website and promoted in email marketing newsletters
- We will need a specific contact person to serve as a contact person for students to answer their local questions and who will coordinate the registrations and required activities for us, prior to our arrival
- Who can attend? Well that depends upon you, It can be only fire/EMS or Law Enforcement/Corrections and we will tailor the course specifically to that audience. We do however recommend that you open the class to ANY public safety agency to attend. This in the spirit of "interagency cooperation" and allows the hosting agency a much better chance of recruiting the minimum 15 students
