What is it?
As part of its continued commitment to social and corporate responsibility, Michelin has launched the Driving America's Safety program, allowing consumers to thank and recognize the efforts of the more than one million local firefighters and EMTs across the country.

Consumers can nominate their local heroes by developing a minimum 300-word essay describing why a local firefighter or EMT should be chosen as one of 50 who will receive a new set of Michelin tires for their light duty truck/SUV emergency response vehicle. The nominations will be evaluated on a number of criteria, including:

  • Financial need of the EMS squad or fire department
  • Compelling stories on the impact the squad/department has on the community
  • Type of apparatus the department currently uses – light truck/SUV or commercial vehicle platforms
