FM Global Fire Prevention Grant Program - Fire/Rescue Grants
Eligibility
Any organization or agency around the world that supports fire prevention can apply for an FM Global Fire Prevention Grant; however, funds must be used for public purposes. Canada and U.S.-based organizations must be one of the following:
- A governmental unit of a city, town, county, state, commonwealth, the District of Columbia, possession of the United States, the United States itself or any political subdivision as described in Section 170(b)(1)(A)(v) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Service Code
- A 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt organization under the U.S. Internal Revenue Service Code
- A governmental unit of a city, town, county, province, territory, Canada itself, or any political subdivision thereof
- A registered charity under Section 149(1)(f) of the Income Tax Act of Canada

What is it?
FM Global's Fire Prevention Grant Program provides funding to fire departments and brigades, as well as to national, state, regional, local and community organizations that support a wide array of fire prevention, preparedness and control efforts. During the past 3 decades, FM Global has awarded millions of U.S. dollars in funding to organizations all over the world to help them more effectively prevent fire. In the past 10 years alone, more than 250 organizations in north America, Europe and Australia have benefited from FM Global grants.
