Features and Specifications:

  • Customers Say:
    • "Water is a major nightmare for emergency planners. To have this Outpost 12 that we've got up on the hill here, makes my life easier knowing I don't have to worry about resupply. All I have to do is plug the Outpost 12 in." – Charlie Bunn, Emergency Management, Northside Hospital System, Atlanta, Georgia
    • "Post-Katrina, our CEO said he wanted to have a sustainability review done for the facility. We were looking at a variety of vulnerabilities, one of which we identified as water.... The expenditure was under $10,000 to us. It really wasn't a major consideration. It really just made sense to have a device that would be able to give us 600 gallons of pure medical-grade drinking water an hour at the facility. It was a no-brainer." – John McDonald, Director of Safety and Security, Northside Hospital System, Atlanta, Georgia

  • How Does the First Water Outpost filter and purify water?
    • Unique patented technology and process
    • Standard hoses and connections with quick-connect ends
    • Sediment filter for dirty or cloudy water provides water clarity and removes suspended debris and contaminants (filter can be repeatedly cleaned)
    • No need to replace any components for at least 6 months
    • 0.5 micron carbon "polishing" block makes water crystal clear and is capable of reducing Giardia Lamblia, Cyst, Cryptosporidium, bad taste, odors, color, chlorine, THMs (trihalalomethanes), certain VOCs (volatile organic compounds), pesticides and many other harmful contaminants(carbon block requires replacement every 6 months with normal usage)
    • Crystal clear water is then saturated with high-power ultraviolet light (UV) through a patented "double-pass" process, effectively neutralizing harmful biological contaminants (UV bulb requires replacement every 12 months with normal usage)
  • Creates Safe, Potable Drinking Water and Decontamination Water
    • Effectively kills a minimum of 99.9999% of bacteria and harmful organics
    • Effectively reduces hundreds of common chemicals and contaminants
    • Exceeds US EPA Guide Standard Protocol for Microbiological Water Purifiers
    • All carbon block filters used in all systems carry an NSF Approval Rating
    • UV light system carries a Certificate of Analysis
  • Maintenance:
    • Sediment filter is washable and reusable. When water flow slows down, it's time to clean the filter. If water flow does not improve, replace the filter
    • Carbon block polishing filter is not cleanable, and needs to be changed after approximately 5,000 gallons or six (6) months
    • Ultraviolet (UV) tube life expectancy under daily usage is 12 to 18 months
    • Note that these are only guidelines. Actual maintenance may vary depending on usage
  • Manufacturer's Warranty:
    • Three (3) years for all components, except the pump, electrical components, and filters
    • One (1) year for the pump and electrical components
    • Filters and batteries are not warranted
