Overview

Made with 7-oz. Nomex®/ Lenzing FR®, this head and neck Nomex hood is tested at a T.P.P. rating of 28 initially, increasing to a 42.1 rating after five washings. Classic Style Nomex Hood stops at the neck, but is 3" longer than N.F.P.A. requires!

Features and Specifications:

  • Flat-stitched seams won't dig into your skin
  • All seams sewn with 100% Nomex® thread
  • Shoulders are contoured to reduce bunching
  • Comfort Plus liner
  • Seamless chin area and improved patterning for the ultimate in comfort, fit and protection
  • Rib knit fabric construction stretches and recovers 35% better than typical hood fabrics
  • Heavier elastic in the face opening stretches 25% more than conventional hoods for easy donning and snug fit around face and S.C.B.A. mask
  • Face opening is circular and measures 5" in diameter
  • Elastic face opening stretches to a full 17", easily clearing S.C.B.A. buckles and straps while fitting securely over all styles of S.C.B.A.'s
  • Doubleply Nomex®/Lenzing FR® construction throughout: 3" longer in the front than N.F.P.A. requires
  • Designed to provide coverage of the neck, upper chest and to the top of the shoulder blades in back
  • Tested at T.P.P. Rating 28.0 initially, then increases to 42.1 after five washings
  • Length below face opening: 10-½"
  • Length at side from top to bottom: 14-½"
  • Length of hood at front and back, from top to bottom: 18-¼"
