"This is one great little light. Its hard to believe such a little light can put out what it does. The battery life is about 2 1/2 hours I believe at full power but with the electronic switch built into it it will last for a lot longer. The other night I sat it down on its base pointing toward the ceiling (it was set on the mode that was at its lowest setting when undisturbed. But when picked up automatically turned up to full power and back down again when left alone. As a night lite this way the batteries at full charge will last over 9 days. Some people might be turned off because its 3 triple AAA batteries. Works great for me. I also have 3 mag-lite rechargeable s (first one purchased 28 years ago) still going strong. If I have a problem I drop them off at mag-lite and they still repair them at no charge (excluding batteries, bulbs and our neglect such as corroding batteries. Mag-light is a US company that stands behind their lights with a lifetime warranty. Their lights are worth every penny and more."

"First, let me say THIS THING IS BRIGHT! I am amazed at how much light comes from a single LED at full power. The manual cautions you against looking at the light at full power, and I can see why. The light seems to be well built and sturdy. The features are easy to use once you read the manual that comes with it. (The twist to adjust is so simple, you wonder why all lights don't do this.) I must say that the strobe function was very disconcerting to look at, even when I was expecting it. I can only imagine what a bad guy would think if you shined it at him. I only have 2 things I really thought could be improved about this light. The body of the light is very slick, and the length-wise ribs don't seem to do much to help you grip the light. Second, the light could do with a couple of flat surfaces to keep it from rolling away when you put it down. I have not had the light long enough to comment on reliability or battery life, but I am more than satisfied with the light right now. I am probably going to have to buy another one for my son, since he keeps trying to take mine."
