"I must say they aren't overly padded, but if you get the right size they feel great! I've worn them for 24 hour shifts at work and with everyone else complaining about their feet sweaty and hurting; mine were not. They aren't the most flexible, but they flex enough. For the price they are well worth it! For a first pair or an extra pair these are certainly a route to go."

"Don't know why all the great reviews...I wanted to love these boots, but they have no cushioning at all, not on the insole, or around the ankle, no where..just very hard and uncomfortable inside, like I was putting my feet into a hard cardboard box, they look great, but that's about it.."

"I have to agree with the review above,no padding in these boots and very thin soul,you can almost step on a dime and tell if it is heads or tales.I give them one star for looking good,and one for ease of zipper use.Disappointed in Bates with this boot."
